Editorial Guidelines

At Shan News Network, we uphold stringent editorial standards to ensure that all press releases distributed through our platform are newsworthy, accurate, and aligned with our PR format. The following guidelines outline the criteria for quick approval and distribution of press releases on our platform:

PR Content:

Press releases should feature clear and timely information about organizational milestones, such as awards or anniversaries, business expansions, new products or services, or recent events. The headline must accurately reflect the newsworthy aspect of the announcement.

Tone:

Content should be written in the third person, avoiding the use of “WE” or “I” unless quoting directly. Maintain a reader-centric perspective, delivering information succinctly without excessive adjectives or sales language. Opinions should be avoided, and jargon should be minimized for broader understanding.

Legal Opinion:

Press releases referencing criminal matters or legal actions will not be published or entertained by Shan News Network.

Information:

All press releases must include a valid email address and phone number in the contact information.

Authorize:

Network marketing companies with significant announcements or using stock ticker symbols may require written authorization from an executive before distribution.

Length:

Press releases should ideally be between 250 and 2000 words, as the length directly impacts distribution and indexing.

Spelling and Grammar:

Content must be free from grammatical and spelling errors, written in proper English, and accompanied by definitions for industry jargon.

Format:

Press releases should not contain HTML tags, forced line breaks, or tables. Avoid writing in all capital letters.

Source:

A clear news source must be identified in the headline, representing the organization issuing the release.

Email Id:

Avoid including email IDs within the body of press releases; our editorial team will format them appropriately if necessary.
